Occupational Therapy (OT) is a health profession that is client-centered and is dedicated to facilitating the participation of individuals in the activities of daily life (ADLs).
The word occupation in Occupational Therapy is not just about work but it entails the activities that one does daily from self-care, school/work and or leisure. The activities involved depending on the client’s role at that stage in life. This means our target client group can be of all ages. As long as one can’t engage in any kind of activity due to any reason(s) (cognitive, physical or mental), OT can be involved to allow the person to re-engage.
